Item type:Наукова стаття, Economic activity of the rural population: a case study of Ukraine(2022) Shubalyi, Oleksandr; Liashenko, Oksana; Rud, Nadia; Shubala, Iryna; Mylko, Inna; Mykhalchynets, NataliiaIn the article determined and substantiated that the public opinion that the residents of rural areas, due to less strict observance of the regime of quarantine COVID restrictions on economic activity, lower population density in the settlement network, and technological features of agriculture, suffered smaller losses in terms of employment and income than other strata, turned out to be too optimistic. According to the results of the study, social alienation is increasing as a result of the deterioration of the entire spectrum of social and labour relations. Further research on the chosen subject may be related to strengthening the institutional capacity and financial self-sufficiency of communities due to the decentralization of powers and resources, the transition to a two-level model of interbudgetary relations, the development of local self-government and changes in the administrative territorial system, overcoming the social alienation of self-employed persons, provision of force majeure in circumstances similar to the COVID pandemic, economic access to food, health care services, education, culture, transport, and digital infrastructure.Item type:Наукова стаття, Analysis of modern trends in the transformation of the agricultural sector of Ukraine: a case study of a regional surveyor(2024) Shubalyi, Oleksandr; Gordiichuk, Antonina; Kosinskyi, Petro; Rud, Nadiia; Vasilik, Nataliia; Kiiilukha, OksanaThe article analyses the current state of the process of transformation of the agro-industrial sector of the economy of Ukraine in the context of existing challenges and prospects and the formation of the country's food security in the system of existing risks in the agricultural sector of the economy that have arisen in the realities of modern times. Possible ways of solving problematic issues are also proposed. The results of the grouping of the regions of Ukraine according to the indicator of the shortage of elevator capacities are presented. An assessment of the impact of factors that slow down agribusiness development in Ukraine in 2016-2021 is provided. The study results confirm that Ukraine`s agricultural business is an essential component of the economy, generating more than 1/10 of the country`s GDP annually. The analysis results prove the constant trends in the development of the agricultural market of Ukraine, especially in the part of large businesses operating here.
