End User Agreement

1. General provisions

These Terms govern the use of the institutional repository of Lutsk National Technical University (the “Repository”), which provides open access to the University's research, educational, and qualification works. By using the Repository, you agree to these Terms.

2. Open access and copyright

Content in the Repository is deposited by authors or University departments and remains the property of the respective authors or rights holders. Open access to metadata and full texts is provided for personal, educational, and scholarly use, subject to Ukrainian copyright law, including the obligation to properly cite the source.

Where a rights holder has attached a Creative Commons licence or other usage terms to a specific item, the terms stated on that item's page take precedence.

Using Repository content for commercial purposes, bulk automated harvesting intended for commercial redistribution, or building a competing database without the rights holder's written permission is not permitted.

3. Depositors

By submitting a work to the Repository, the author or an authorised department representative confirms that:

• they hold the legal right to deposit the work and grant the University a non-exclusive licence to store it, convert it to other formats for long-term preservation, and make it openly available;
• the submitted metadata (author, title, abstract, keywords, etc.) is accurate and complete;
• the deposit does not infringe the rights of third parties, including copyright, personal data rights, or trade secrets.

4. Prohibited activities

When using the Repository, you may not:

• attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, administrative functions, or other users' data;
• systematically harvest Repository content at a scale beyond normal personal use without prior permission from the administration (this does not apply to search-engine indexing or OAI-PMH metadata harvesting);
• interfere with the software, circumvent technical protection measures, or place an undue burden on the system;
• post or distribute content that infringes third-party rights or violates Ukrainian law.

5. Takedown requests

If you believe that an item in the Repository infringes your copyright or other rights, please contact vkt@lntu.edu.ua, including a link to the item and the grounds for removal or access restriction. Requests are reviewed by the Repository administration within a reasonable time; access to the item may be temporarily restricted while the request is under review.

6. Limitation of liability

The Repository is provided on an “as is” basis. The University takes reasonable measures to keep the service available and metadata accurate, but does not guarantee uninterrupted operation or the absence of technical errors arising from maintenance or circumstances beyond the University's control.

7. Changes to these Terms

The University may update these Terms from time to time; the date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page. Continued use of the Repository after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data of Repository users.

The Repository runs on the open-source DSpace software, distributed under the BSD licence: github.com/DSpace/DSpace/blob/main/LICENSE.
