Item type:Наукова стаття, The role of social entrepreneurship in advancing economic growth and sustainability amid instability(Rome: European Center of Sustainable Development, 2025) Volosiuk, Maryna; Kryvtsov, Artem; Vakhovych, Iryna; Smolych, Dariia; Zalievska-Shyshak, AnnaRelevance. Social entrepreneurship is currently one of the most effective ways to solve social problems, especially for countries with economies in transition, where instability increases the importance of new approaches to managing economic and social processes. The study's relevance is driven by the need to find sustainable mechanisms of economic growth in the context of global instability and social challenges. Aim. This research article aims to analyse the impact of social entrepreneurship on the economic growth of the EU countries and Ukraine, which is in a state of prolonged war, and to substantiate its importance for the socio-economic development of countries in conditions of instability. Methods. To carry out a comprehensive qualitative analysis, several general scientific methods of knowledge were used, including synthesis, systematisation, generalisation, and comparative analysis of different EU countries. As part of the quantitative analysis, an adapted method of calculating the National Social Impact Index (NSII) was applied, allowing for a balance between economic efficiency and social outcomes in comparing EU member states. Results. According to the results of the calculations, the highest values of the social impact index are demonstrated by Bulgaria (142.97), Hungary (137.30), Latvia (131.77) and Poland (122.85), which indicates a significant contribution of social enterprises to socio-economic development, in contrast to the indicators of Denmark (31.59), Germany (28.69) and Estonia (26.75). Thus, a high index value is typical for countries with developed SME support policies. In contrast, a high capacity for social sector growth characterises countries with a high average turnover and fewer enterprises. Conclusion. The main direction for developing social entrepreneurship to ensure economic growth in Ukraine in the context of war is developing and implementing a social entrepreneurship development strategy in the overall state system. This involves introducing clear criteria for defining social enterprises, creating a specialised regulatory framework, harmonising national legislation with European standards, and creating incentive financial and tax mechanisms to support them.Item type:Наукова стаття, Digital tools for stimulating business in conditions of uncertainty of economic development(Riyadh: Natural Sciences Publishing, 2024) Smolych, Dariia; Vakhovych, Iryna; Abdel-Aty, Mahmoud; Matrunchyk, DmytroAbstract: The article discusses digital tools for stimulating business in conditions of uncertainty of economic development. Utilizing methods such as system analysis, comparative-legal analysis, graphical data presentation, and statistical analysis of non-profit organizations' share in Ukraine’s GDP from 2016 to 2023, the findings reveal that many NGOs are categorized under corporate and government sectors, leading to a loss of their unique identity. The analysis shows that the share of non-profit organizations serving households in Ukraine’s GDP ranged from 0.8% to 1.9% during the study period. Furthermore, international approaches to satellite accounts for NGOs suggest a promising avenue for enhancing the transparency and completeness of statistical data. Ultimately, the study concludes that the actual scale of the third sector's activities significantly surpasses recorded statistics, underscoring the necessity of adopting a satellite account methodology to accurately assess the economic and social contributions of NGOs.Item type:Наукова стаття, Statistical Examination of Social Infrastructure in Ukraine’s Border Regions(Qena, Egypt: Natural Sciences Publishing Corporation, 2026) Vakhovych, Iryna; Al-Shirawi, Thaira; Smolych, Dariia; Pohuliaiko, YuriiIn this paper, we examine Ukraine's post-war reconstruction and the critical need for modernizing social infrastructure to preserve and develop human capital, facilitate the integration of displaced persons, and enhance regional competitiveness, particularly in border areas with the EU where such infrastructure is essential for cross-border cooperation and European integration. Utilizing methods including system analysis, structural-functional and comparative analysis, territorial analysis, and generalization, we classify types of social infrastructure, outline objectives for modernization, and identify key implementation stages in Ukraine's border regions. Our findings reveal that effective modernization is vital for preserving human capital, curbing depopulation and youth outflow, integrating internally displaced persons and veterans, attracting investments, and fostering regional economic development. Key elements include rehabilitation centers, modern educational institutions, housing and digital infrastructure, and improved transport systems for cross-border communication. Ultimately, this paper concludes that the modernization of social infrastructure is crucial for Ukraine's post-war economic recovery, human capital preservation, and integration into the European space, with a comprehensive approach that considers social, economic, and institutional factors essential for sustainable territorial development and enhancing their strategic significance for the state.Item type:Наукова стаття, ASSESSMENT OF THE IMPACT OF FINANCIAL AND NON-FINANCIAL INSTRUMENTS ON EQUITY AND CASH FLOWS AS THE BASIS FOR DECISION-MAKING TO INCREASE ENTERPRISE MARKET CAPITALIZATION(FTA, FINTECHALLIANCE, 2024-08-31) Vakhovych, Iryna; Kryvovyazyuk, Igor; Kovalchuk, Nadiia; Kovalska, Liubov; Dorosh, Viktoriia; Burban, OleksandrThe market capitalization of an enterprise is one of the key indicators that characterize the degree of influence of financial and non-financial instruments on its volumes and dynamics. Establishing the relationship between such instruments and metrics of equity and cash flows best outlines the plane of their direct impact on stimulating market cap-italization and implementing effective management measures in the context of optimiz-ing the use of equity and cash flows. The purpose of the study is to establish how the impact of indicators of financial and non-financial instruments on equity and cash flows forms an appropriate basis for making managerial decisions to increase the market cap-italization of enterprises. As a result of the study, the toolkit for increasing the market capitalization of the enterprise from the standpoint of its grouping in terms of financial and non-financial plane was clarified. It was found that among the 36 analyzed indica-tors of the impact on equity and cash flows of the studied machine-building enterprises in Ukraine during the period 2010-2021, the most significant are bank lending, invest-ment and technical metals, research and development costs, foreign scientific and tech-nical services received, production investments, work-in-progress, and accounts paya-ble for products, goods, and services. The results were transformed into a model of ranked instruments for stimulating the market capitalization of machine-building enter-prises, which demonstrates the degree and directions of the influence of indicators of financial and non-financial instruments on the dynamics of equity and cash flows, which ensures the formation of an information database for making decisions on the further use of such instruments. The structuring of the toolkit serves as the basis for forming a system of management decisions containing practical recommendations within each group of instruments aimed at optimizing market capitalization through increased equity and cash flows of the enterprise. The obtained results will be beneficial to financial analysts of enterprises in preparing databases for making financial and non-financial decisions.
