Abstract

He article analyzes the problem of the origin and prescription of family names, the duration of their functioning in rural anthroponomics (on the basis of the informal anthroponomy of the south of the Volyn region). The semantics of bases and word-formation structure of the last names in the south of Volyn region have been analyzed. Onim vocabulary represented in bases of the last names has been determined; various after structure variants of the names, toponymic and appellative nominations of a person giving reasons for the last names, have been considered. The productivity of the names in creation of the last names has been defined; names characterized by the most activity in the process of creation of the last names have been stated. The semantics of bases and word-formation structure of the modern last names in the south of Volyn region reflect common Ukrainian tendencies of anthroponomical system, and also regional features of anthroponomy, predefined by the specific of the development of dialects, interlingual links, history, culture, way of life of the region.
