Abstract

This paper explores options for developing a cryptographic two-factor authentication protocol aimed at improving the security of user authentication in distributed information systems. The proposed approach integrates cryptographic mechanisms with a second authentication factor to strengthen resistance against credential theft, replay attacks, and unauthorized access while maintaining practical usability.
