Item type:Наукова стаття, Living visual communication design toward to sustainable development: Conceptual framework and ecological strategies(2022) Skliarenko, NataliiaIn this study, the attention is focused on the essence of integrated living visual communication design. It contains plant and biological components that cause the design system transformation and ensure dynamic visualization of the images. The methodological concept of the study is based on systematic and interdisciplinary approaches, which allow to assess living visual communications as integrated design systems. The author’s methodology includes analysis and systematization of examples; the formation of the integrated design model is based on an associative-metaphorical approach and substantiation of development strategies of ecological visual communications. The study resulted in the development of two groups of visual communication systems, namely green visual communications and biological visual communications. Their visual language was created on the base of such processes as landscaping, facing, encapsulation, energy recovery, and self-organization. The developed model of integrated design of living visual communications allows to put together artificial and natural components using their associative similarities. This model is considered an instrument for decision-making that is aimed at the implementation of ecological innovations into the design of dynamic visual communications. This study broadens the possibilities of using the living organisms in design and substantiating ecostrategies of communication design development in the context of forming designers’ creative potential.Item type:Наукова стаття, Ukrainian folk games and toys: levels of integration into modern visual culture(2023) Skliarenko, Nataliia; Shkliaieva, Nataliia; Pylypiuk, LarysaThe study deals with the possibilities of integrating the folk experience of creating Ukrainian games and toys into modern visual culture. An ethno-cultural pattern that synthesizes the artistic image, national form, natural materials, and game principles of interaction into an integral structure based on the analysis of folklore materials and artistic folk products from the territory of Western Polissia in Ukraine has been formed. The result of the study is the classification of Ukrainian folk toys and games of the population of Western Polissia organized as a holistic multifaceted visual and communicative system of interaction between folk games and toys. It has been proved that integration of ethno-cultural patterns into modern visual culture is carried out on three levels: subject, environmental, and socio-cultural. The study presents the theoretical basis for designing a modern visual and communicative environment for life, learning and rest, which is able to attract a child to the deep traditions of national culture in a natural way. The outlined levels of integration are closely related with modern practices of eco-design, ethno-design, and art-therapy, which act as a strategic basis for the formation of modern visual culture and are aimed at the sustainable development of society.Item type:Наукова стаття, From waste to usefulness: packaging design as a by-product(2021) Skliarenko, NataliiaIn this work we consider theoretical and practical aspects of packaging design as a byproduct. People can use it as a new design product with different initial functions. This study represents an important designers’ contribution in solving environmental problems caused by excessive packaging waste. Author’s methods of multifunctional package development analyze the market situation, research the wrapping design features, organize the author’s concept, and evaluate the design product effectiveness. Methodological principles of the study are based on the design interpretation of the environmental, functional and socio-economical approaches context. The result of the theoretical study is the package design concept that increases the possible duration of packaging use. The specific design aspect of this study is the creation of different multifunctional packages, for example: package-constructor, package-board game, package-accessory. These design aspects make it possible to form a dynamic communicative visual environment. The author’s design and development of a multifunctional package – constructor for pizza confirms the practical significance of the study. The results of this work are to show the popularization of environmental awareness education and increasing the level of social communication by involving emotional and game components into design processItem type:Наукова стаття, The Design Creativity as the way of dealing with students’ stress in the context of the global pandemic challenge(2022) Skliarenko, NataliiaIn this publication we concentrate our attention on finding the ways to deal with students’ stress during the COVID-2019 pandemic period and implement them into the constant practice. In the design practice we can consider stress not only as a negative, but also as a positive experience. We present our own experience that unites technologies in design education, design methods and some aspects of the art therapy. We examine students’ diploma projects simultaneously as the product of design and the process of design that have anti-stress effect and are the way for student to harmonize with their inner world in variable environment. We consider different ways of art visualization as the mechanism of selfactualization, decrease in anxiety and dealing with depressive conditions. The work outlines the strategy of using design creativity as the way of overcoming and preventing the effects of stress factors during studying in the context of global pandemic challengesItem type:Наукова стаття, Improving safety criteria for transporting hazardous goods by road through optimizing the geometric parameters of their stowage(Eastern-European Journal of Enterprise Technologies, 2024) Pustiulha, Serhii; Samchuk, Volodymyr; Prydiuk, Valentyn; Pasichnyk, Oksana; Shymchuk, OleksandrThe object of research is the process of cargo transportation by road. The problem of efficient loading and securing of hazardous goods in box containers during their transportation by road is considered. The basic principles of the voxel-based interpretation of the model of loading box containers on road transport are presented, and a general principle for calculating the fractal dimension of such three-dimensional objects has been developed. The calculation is based on the procedure of reducing the dimensionality of space by cutting the object into separate layers and determining the fractal dimensionality of two-dimensional slices. The proposed principle could be used to estimate the fractal dimension of three-dimensional objects in practical tasks in any industry. A method for simplified calculation of fractal characteristics of three-dimensional bill of lading models of cargo stowage has been devised. The method is based on the assessment of the quality of blocking of the constituent elements of the spatial system in three coordinate directions by the fractal dimension of two-dimensional images of their frames. The method provides opportunities for calculating the quantitative characteristics of the quality of cargo stowage from the standpoint of its transportation safety. A method for fractal stowing of goods in box containers on a truck platform has been proposed. This method of fractal stowage provides for the absence of slippage and displacement of boxes in the package and makes it impossible for them to overturn in extreme situations. The use of the fractal stowage method allows for an efficient and low-cost technology of securing the cargo as it involves only a circular bandage of the top layer of the loaded package of boxes and its fastening to the vehicle platform at four points
