Item type:scientificarticle.listelement.badge, Innovative principles of designing eco-friendly packaging(2026-10-05) Skliarenko, Nataliia; Sobko, Bogdana; Romaniuk, OlhaThe purpose of the work was to identify innovative principles in packaging design that integrate functionality, aesthetics and environmental responsibility, contributing to the spread of a culture of sustainable consumption. The work used a systematic approach to the design of eco-friendly packaging, which is based on the integration of analytical-comparative, functional and morphological analysis methods and covers interdisciplinary research in the fields of design, ecology, materials science, marketing, consumer psychology, etc. A systematic analysis of eco-packaging has led to the development of three principles for its design: the use of biodegradable materials, multifunctionality, and the visualisation of natural aesthetics. It has been proven that the key area of innovation is the creation of packaging from biodegradable materials (paper, fabric, wood, plant raw materials, bioplastics, combined raw materials) that are capable of decomposing naturally without leaving environmentally harmful waste. The essence of the principle of multifunctionality has been substantiated, demonstrating the possibilities of eco-packaging design to form new ways of interacting with people and products (edible packaging, transformer packaging, organiser packaging, scented packaging). It has been found that the principle of visualising natural aesthetics emphasises the ecological orientation of the product and shapes the eco-conscious behaviour of the consumer through design. The principles considered ensure systematic design aimed at sustainable development of the natural environment, minimisation of negative impact on the environment, and improvement of aesthetic appeal. The results of the study outline the prospects for the implementation of innovative strategies in the practice of enterprises that seek to combine economic efficiency with care for the environment. The practical results of the research open up opportunities for creating conceptual models of eco-packaging that demonstrate a synthesis of functionality, aesthetics and environmental responsibility. This can be used in the design, educational and manufacturing activities of designers.Item type:scientificarticle.listelement.badge, The evolution of visualisation tools of Chinese children’s sign systems: Semiotic aspect(2026) Skliarenko, NataliiaThe relevance of this study lies in examining how child-oriented wayfinding in public spaces shifted from basic safety measures to culturally and emotionally charged mediators amid changing standards, policies, and digital technologies. This study aimed to investigate the evolution of visualisation tools in Chinese children’s sign systems from a semiotic perspective. Drawing on Bronislaw Malinowski’s cultural stratification theory, the research combined diachronic analysis of national and local standards, policy documents, and representative cases from children’s hospitals, kindergartens, theme parks, and cultural venues. A semiotic-stratification approach was applied to interpret changes at three levels: material apparatus, institutional regulation, and spiritual-emotional meanings, highlighting links between visual codes and broader sociocultural transitions. The findings identified three historical phases in the evolution of Chinese children’s sign systems: a Safety-Dominant phase (1983-2008) characterised by standardised pictograms, high-contrast colours, and warning semantics; a CulturalConsciousness phase (2009-2018) that incorporated regional motifs, local food symbols, and intangible heritage elements to reconstruct identity and reduce anxiety; and a Digital-Intelligence Innovation phase (2019-present)that integrated augmented reality, IoT, and interactive interfaces to create multisensory, affective guidance experiences and data-informed spatial management. Taken together, the semiotic-stratification analysis showed that standardised safety grammars, culturally embedded visual identities, and digitally mediated multisensory interfaces accumulated rather than simply replaced one another over time, revealing the co-evolution of design practice with policy agendas and social expectations. Застосовано інформаційно-дослідницький та візуально-аналітичний підходи у поєднанні з методами порівняльного аналізу щодо використання меблів в інтер’єрі. Проаналізовано вплив дизайну меблів з гнутими елементами на формування інтер’єрного простору. Визначено функціональне призначення, особливості проєктування та фактори, що враховуються при проєктуванні дизайну меблів у стилі скандинавського мінімалізму та лофт.
