Introduction of NSFR Ratio in the Activities of Commercial Banks in Ukraine

The main purpose of the research is to study changes in the methodology of formation and regulation of liquidity of commercial banks in Ukraine, as well as to study changes in the structure of bank assets that will result from the use of new approaches. For data collection, the following analysis methods were adopted: a semantic analysis of the traditional and new approach to determining the regulatory liquidity ratio, structural and dynamic analysis of assets and income of commercial banks, as well as a method of logical generalization in drawing conclusions about the analysis. The results of the research show that the introduction of new approaches to determining the liquidity of commercial banks on the basis of the Basel III agreement requires banking institutions to increase the general requirement for the principles of formation of their assets. There is also an objective need to develop new approaches to ensure the proper effectiveness of current liquidity control and ensure the stability of cash flows as well as an overall reduction in banking risks. Based on the analysis of the banking system of Ukraine, it is established that the introduction of the NSFR ratio instead of the regulatory ratio N6 provides for commercial banks a general reduction of the risk of banking operations and helps to expand sources of financing active operations. The study found that one of the key consequences of the introduction of the NSFR ratio in the activities of banking institutions in Ukraine will be a decrease in their net interest margin in lending operations. As a result, commercial banks will be forced to limit lending activities mainly by limiting the issuance of riskier loans. However, another consequence of the use of the NSFR standard will be the differentiation of active operations of banks, which will reduce the dependence of their operating activities purely on lending, which will also result in an overall increase in the financial stability of banking institutions.
Rural agritourism in the system of rural development: a case study of Ukraine

In the article we proved that the development of rural areas lies in the plane of non-agricultural areas of entrepreneurial activity, among which agritourism plays an important role. In the manuscript we identify and highlight the main role and place in the economic system of the tourism industry in the direction of the social and economic situation in rural areas of Ukraine, as well as to study the development of agritourism in Ukraine. According to the results of the work, it was established that conducting agritourism activities in the studied regions of Ukraine allowed the rural population to receive new and additional types of income, which in turn contributed to improving their living standards and development of rural areas in general.
Analysis of the socio-demographic state of rural areas in the system of their sustainable development: a case study of Ukraine

In the article we have substantiated and conducted statistically assess the impact of the final results of economic activity on the current socio-demographic situation of rural areas in Ukraine. Based on the results of determining the influence of conditioned factors on the level of labour migration of the rural population in Ukraine, we have developed a regression equation. Also, based on the results of the study, we built two cartograms, comparison of which provides an opportunity to assess the dynamics of the formation of the total fertility rate in rural areas (per 1 woman) for 2016 – 2020. We built a cartogram that visualizes the results of grouping regions of Ukraine by natural increase, decrease population in rural areas of Ukraine. The results of our study provide an opportunity to confirm that in the context of Ukraine’s official accession to the European Union and the serious challenges of today, the Ukrainian state should perform the functions of regulating the most important spheres of society in general and rural areas in particular. The task of increasing the employment of the rural population should be raised to the level of state priorities, which would provide an opportunity to create new jobs for the rural population in industries that can provide the maximum competitive effect.
Economic efficiency of the land resource management and agricultural land-use by agricultural producers

To assess the effectiveness of the management of land resources for agricultural enterprises suggested factors affecting the market for agricultural products, which integrates a system of environmental, economic and social indicators in this area. The paper highlights main theoretical aspects of the land resource management of the agricultural enterprises. The essence of land resource management is shown based on the definition of the objects of management, which are land resources of agricultural enterprises, subjects of management, which are landowners and employees of such agricultural enterprises, and objective of management, which is providing and maintaining the efficiency of land resources usage as a key factor of agricultural production. The land market and its structure are presented in detail. The characteristic structure of land resources leading European countries. Described prospects management of land resources of agricultural enterprises. A complete analysis of mortgage lending secured by agricultural lands has been carried out. A decrease in the number of agricultural enterprises, which is mostly connected with imperfections of land governance, formed in the state, has been identified. Relationships between strengths and weaknesses of agricultural enterprises, opportunities, and threats of efficient land use have been identified. Scenarios of economic development have been considered, which should be taken into account while developing a strategy.
Modeling the productivity management process in agriculture: a case study of Ukraine

The purpose of the study is to form an economic and statistical toolkit for quantitative analysis of the impact of determining factors on the level of labor productivity in the agricultural sector of Ukraine. as well as to substantiate directions for improving the effectiveness of managerial decision-making based on correlation and regression analysis. The study examines factors of labour productivity management in the agrarian sector of Ukraine using a correlation–regression approach and forecasting modelling. It is substantiated that the dynamics of output per employee are shaped by the combined influence of interrelated financial, economic, and production factors, among which the availability of fixed assets, financial performance, and parameters of labour resource utilisation play a decisive role. The empirical basis of the research comprises official statistical data for the period 2010–2024. The study applies methods of correlation and multivariate regression analysis to quantitatively assess the impact of fixed assets, capital investment, net profit, and average monthly wages on the level of labour productivity. It is established that the most significant positive effect on output is exerted by the volume of fixed assets and net profit, which confirms their determining role in enhancing the efficiency of labour utilisation in the agricultural sector. Based on the estimated model, a forecast of labour productivity up to 2030 is developed, indicating the preservation of an upward growth trajectory of output under an inertial development scenario.
Formation of the natural resource economics in the system of environmental and economic security

The article examines the modern specifics of the formation of the system of ecological and economic security and the construction of an effective economy of nature use in Ukraine. Modern concepts aimed at solving the problems of ecological and economic security in conditions of limited and depleted natural resources are considered. The problems of ensuring environmental safety in the business processes of modern enterprises have been identified. The methodological basis of the study of the problems of ensuring environmental safety and economic development was studied. It is proposed to apply greening of production as a priority direction of economic development to build an effective economy of nature use.
Structural and risk-oriented determinants of the liquidity coverage ratio in the mechanism for ensuring the stability of the banking system of Ukraine

The purpose of this study is to develop a dynamic econometric model for assessing the impact of structural, risk-oriented, and monetary factors on the formation of the Liquidity Coverage Ratio of the banking system of Ukraine under conditions of transformational shocks and structural restructuring of the financial sector. The main findings indicate that the level of the LCR is shaped by the configuration of the resource base, the structure of assets, the quality of the loan portfolio, the degree of capitalization, and the parameters of monetary policy. The principal conclusions suggest that the stability of the banking system is determined not by the mere maximization of liquidity per se, but by the structural optimization of balance sheet parameters within a controlled risk environment.
Analysis of investment efficiency in the agricultural sector of Ukraine on the basis of sustainable development

In the article we study the specifics of assessing investment activity in the agricultural sector of Ukraine's economy in terms of ensuring high efficiency of state regulation in this area. We have identified and substantiated the need for the use of special indicators to assess the impact of public policy on the investment process in agriculture in general and on the investment policy of agricultural producers. It is determined and substantiated that the most significant influence on the regulation of investment activity in the agricultural sector of Ukraine is exerted by the volume of state funding of investment management bodies and the level of financial incentives for investment. According to the results of the study, we substantiated the need to increase the efficiency of reforming the agricultural sector of Ukraine and the need and attraction of additional investment resources to ensure the implementation of the process of improving the functioning of agricultural producers in Ukraine.
Banking liquidity risk management in Ukraine based on the application of digital and information technologies

The article discusses the peculiarities of liquidity risk management in modern conditions. The advantages of the transition to the use of liquidity standards determined by the provisions of Basel III have been determined. The higher efficiency of the LCR and NSFR standards, compared to the liquidity ratios previously used by the National Bank of Ukraine, has been proven. The peculiarities of the dynamics of liquidity standards in the banking system of Ukraine in general have been determined. The specifics of the impact of modern information and digital technologies on bank liquidity risk management are considered. The process of digital transformation of the liquidity management system based on the application of digital software solutions for liquidity risk analysis and forecasting is considered.
Digitalization processes in the management of the functioning of agricultural enterprises: a case study of Ukraine

The article explores the peculiarities of digitalization in the management of agribusiness enterprises as a key factor in enhancing their efficiency under modern economic conditions. Data from the Statistical Institute and other sources have been processed using abstract-logical method, analysis and synthesis, induction, systematization and generalization, monographic and grouping methods. The distribution of countries around the world by the level of digitalization of the economy was studied. The evolution of business models in the agricultural sector amid economic digitalization is examined. The study analyzes contemporary information technologies widely used in the Ukrainian agrarian business. The dynamics of enterprises engaged in e-commerce operations in Ukraine are assessed. A regional classification of Ukraine is conducted based on the share of agribusiness processing enterprises involved in e-commerce. The research also investigates the dynamics of agricultural product volumes sold through electronic commerce in Ukraine. Conceptual foundations for the implementation of strategic directions for digital transformation in the agribusiness sector of Ukraine are proposed.
