    Increasing the Speed and Performance of the Drupal CMS Server for Industrial IoT Technologies

    In this paper, the methods of increasing the speed and performance of the Drupal CMS-based server in IIoT technologies were analyzed. Three main load parameters were taken into account: processor time (CPU), level of server RAM usage, and disk memory usage level; on three pages of the WEB site (main, list of blogs, and a page with one blog) and two research methods were applied: generalized and detailed. Based on the results of the analysis of four options for optimizing Drupal CMS for IIoT technologies: basic, using additional installed modules, servers, and configurations, and Drupal Hooks, effective, simple, cost-effective methods were synthesized that guarantee an increase in server speed and productivity. It was found that the optimization of configurations and Drupal Hooks is the most effective since after its implementation, the response of a page with one blog increased by 9.32 requests per second; built-in optimization is extremely simple to implement and inefficient, while server-side optimization is inefficient, most complex and expensive to implement.

    An impact of technological factors on the kinematic accuracy of cylindrical gear wheels during machining

    The work analyzes the means of controlling the accuracy of gears from the point of view of ensuring the manufacture of parts of a given quality. A theoretical study of the influence of the geometry and accuracy of the elements of the technological system and the process of gear milling with a worm cutter on the kinematic accuracy of cylindrical gears has been carried out. A method of conducting experimental studies of the wheel on the kinematic accuracy has been selected, which consists in comparing the circular distances between the same profiles of two teeth of the wheel with similar distances between the profiles of the other two teeth of the same wheel. The influence of the technological modes of processing of the gear milling process on its accuracy indicators has been experimentally studied. An optimization model for selecting technological modes of processing has been developed in order to ensure the required kinematic accuracy of the gear after the gear milling operation with a worm cutter due to the error of the accumulated step, as well as to reduce the number of experiments. The work was carried out using data from a private complex study of the elementary indicator of kinematic accuracy of the accumulated error of the wheel pitch, obtained during measurement control. During the work, metrological means and methods of gear wheel control were used. The research results were processed by methods of mathematical statistics.

    Basic Stations Work Optimization in Cellular Communication Network

    The paper proposes an algorithm that automatically determines the test data amount, depending on the bandwidth of the network channel, so the measurement procedure eliminates operator error. This is especially true during daily measurements, which are carried out on different days of the week. Daily measurements allow to estimate the base station single sector workload, a small area or the entire network as a whole. It is necessary to analyse the network operation and to optimize its problem areas. According to the results of the research, the authors of the paper revealed the hours of maximum and minimum load and load extrema, which is characterized by the fact that the number of subscribers using the cellular network for voice calls or data transmission is the maximum. The regularity of cases when the subscriber terminal is registered in the network but it is impossible to make a voice call or transmit data is revealed. If such a case is isolated, there is no need to change the network or perform optimization. However, if the network overload occurs at certain intervals, it is recommended to optimize the problem area of the network by dynamic power control or installation of an additional transmitter. This method of adjusting base station receivers is suitable for use in 4G and 5G networks.
