dc.description.abstractThe article analyzes the results of using of MOOC as elements of blended learning in the 2023–2024 academic year at Lutsk National Technical University (LNTU) (Ukraine). A combination of online learning in MOOCs and face-to-face learning was used. Quantitative data from participation logs (246 students) and survey questionnaires (190 students) were analyzed. 62.0% of students chose courses on Udemy (23.0% successfully completed), 38.0% on Coursera (65.0% successfully completed). The main motivations of the students were to gain new knowledge, experience and skills development. Our research has shown that the use of specialised courses on the open educational platforms Coursera and Udemy are approximately equally effective in improving students’ learning outcomes, promoting self-education skills and lifelong learning strategies.
